Indonesia's cruel dog meat trade

A market full of small cages with several dogs crammed together in the scorching heat. The dogs witness how their friends are slaughtered one by one in the most gruesome manners. Hopelessly, they look out of their cages, waiting for help that will never come.

This nightmare is the harsh reality throughout most of Southeast Asia. It is estimated that more than 30 million dogs are slaughtered each year for their meat.

Dogs are commonly stolen from the street and from their homes, leaving their owners devastated. Many of the dogs don't survive the often long journey to the markets or slaughterhouses. The survivors are killed in the most brutal ways while their companions look on.

With your donation, we can save these traumatised animals from their brutal ends and provide them with the love and attention they deserve. We will also be able to keep up our campaigning efforts alongside our partners in the Dog Meat Free Indonesia coalition to pressure the government into taking action. We won't stop fighting until we see a Southeast Asia free of dog meat. Will you help?
